Along the way, you will also have the chance to explore ancient monasteries, meet friendly locals, and learn about the unique culture and traditions of the Dolpo region.

The trek reaches its highest point at the breathtaking Phoksundo Lake, which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Nepal. From there, you will make your way back to Juphal, where you will catch a flight back to Kathmandu.

Great! Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the city or rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, you will have a pre-trek briefing with your guide and Himalayan Yoga and Excursion to discuss the details of the trek, and you can ask any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to meet your yoga instructor and discuss the yoga sessions that will be incorporated into the trekking experience. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our day with a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is known for its rich cultural heritage, and we will visit some of its most popular attractions, including: -Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and a UNESCO World Heritage Site -Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and a center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal -Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, is a hilltop Buddhist temple with stunning views of the city After a busy day of sightseeing, we will return to our hotel in Kathmandu and have a final preparation for our trek. We will check our trekking equipment and make sure we have everything we need. In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner with our Himalayan Yoga and Excursion team. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
On the third day, we will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a city in the southwestern region of Nepal. The flight takes about an hour, and we will enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas along the way. After arriving in Nepalgunj, we will have some free time to explore the city or relax before our next day's flight to Juphal, the starting point of our trek. You can visit the local markets, explore the city's culture and cuisine, or rest in your hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nepalgunj.
On the fourth day, we will take a morning flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal, a small airstrip in the Dolpo region of Nepal. The flight takes about 45 minutes, and we will fly over beautiful mountain ranges and valleys. Upon arriving in Juphal, we will meet our trekking crew and start our trek to Dunai. We will trek along the banks of the Thuli Bheri River, passing through beautiful forests of pine and oak trees. Along the way, we will pass through traditional villages and experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the Dolpo people. After walking for about 3-4 hours, we will reach Dunai, the administrative headquarters of the Dolpo region. We will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp in Dunai.
On the fifth day, we will trek from Dunai to Tarakot, a beautiful village located on the banks of the Bheri River. We will follow the trail that winds up and down through a beautiful forest of pine and cedar trees. Along the way, we will cross several suspension bridges over the Thuli Bheri River and pass through several small villages. We will also see beautiful waterfalls and streams that add to the natural beauty of the region. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Tarakot, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp in Tarakot.
On the sixth day, we will trek from Tarakot to Laini Odar, a beautiful campsite located at an altitude of 3,370m. We will follow the trail that ascends gradually through the narrow gorge of the Tarap River. Along the way, we will cross a suspension bridge and pass through several small villages, including Sandul Gompa and Kyalunpa Gompa. We will also see beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of the Dhaulagiri and Kanjiroba Himalayas. After walking for about 6-7 hours, we will reach Laini Odar, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp in Laini Odar.
On the seventh day, we will trek from Laini Odar to Nawarpani, another beautiful campsite located at an altitude of 3,475m. We will follow the trail that ascends through a beautiful forest of pine, cedar, and juniper trees. Along the way, we will pass through several small villages, including Tarap Khola, and enjoy beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of the Dhaulagiri and Kanjiroba Himalayas. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Nawarpani, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp in Nawarpani.
On the eighth day, we will trek from Nawarpani to Do Tarap, a beautiful village located at an altitude of 4,090m. We will follow the trail that ascends gradually through a beautiful valley. Along the way, we will cross several streams and pass through several small villages, including Tokyu and Numa La Base Camp. We will also see beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks of the Dhaulagiri and Kanjiroba Himalayas. After walking for about 6-7 hours, we will reach Do Tarap, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp in Do Tarap.
On the ninth day, we will take a rest and acclimatization day at Do Tarap. Acclimatization is important to adjust to the higher altitude and prevent altitude sickness. We will spend the day exploring the village and its surroundings. Do Tarap is a unique village with a rich cultural heritage, and we will have the opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life. We can also visit the local monastery and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will spend the night at our campsite in Do Tarap.
On the tenth day, we will trek from Do Tarap to Numa La Base Camp, located at an altitude of 4,440m. The trail will gradually ascend as we leave the village behind and enter a beautiful valley. Along the way, we will see several chortens (Buddhist shrines) and prayer flags. After walking for about 6-7 hours, we will reach Numa La Base Camp, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Numa La Base Camp is a beautiful location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Numa La Base Camp.
On the eleventh day, we will trek from Numa La Base Camp to Numa La Pass, located at an altitude of 5,360m. The trail will be steep and challenging, as we make our way up to the pass. However, the stunning views of the surrounding mountains make it all worth it. After reaching the pass, we will take some time to rest and enjoy the views before descending to Phedi, located at an altitude of 4,875m. The trail down to Phedi will be steep and rocky, so we need to be careful while descending. After walking for about 7-8 hours, we will reach Phedi, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Phedi.
On the twelfth day, we will trek from Phedi to Dho Tarap, located at an altitude of 4,040m. The trail will gradually descend as we make our way towards Dho Tarap. We will pass through beautiful landscapes, and we may encounter some yaks and mules carrying goods to and from the village. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Dho Tarap, a beautiful village with a rich cultural heritage. We will have the opportunity to explore the village and interact with the locals, who are mostly Tibetan refugees. We will spend the night at our campsite in Dho Tarap.
On the thirteenth day, we will trek from Dho Tarap to Sisaul, located at an altitude of 3,700m. The trail will be mostly downhill, and we will pass through beautiful landscapes and small villages along the way. After walking for about 6-7 hours, we will reach Sisaul, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Sisaul is a beautiful location with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its natural hot springs. We can take a dip in the hot springs and relax our muscles after a long day of trekking. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Sisaul.
On the fourteenth day, we will trek from Sisaul to Laisicap, located at an altitude of 3,530m. The trail will be mostly downhill, and we will pass through beautiful forests and small villages along the way. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Laisicap, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Laisicap is a small village with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its beautiful landscapes and traditional culture. We can take some time to explore the village and interact with the locals, who are known for their hospitality and kindness. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Laisicap.
On the fifteenth day, we will trek from Laisicap to Lingdo, located at an altitude of 2,410m. The trail will be mostly downhill, and we will pass through beautiful forests and small villages along the way. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Lingdo, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Lingdo is a small village with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its traditional culture. We can take some time to explore the village and interact with the locals, who are known for their hospitality and kindness. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Lingdo.
On the sixteenth day, we will trek from Lingdo to Juphal, located at an altitude of 2,475m. The trail will be mostly downhill, and we will pass through beautiful forests and small villages along the way. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will reach Juphal, where we will set up our campsite and rest for the night. Juphal is a small town with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its traditional culture. We can take some time to explore the town and interact with the locals, who are known for their hospitality and kindness. Overnight stay in a tented camp at Juphal.
On the seventeenth and final day of our Lower Dolpo Yoga Trek, we will take an early morning flight from Juphal to Nepalgunj, and then another flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, we will transfer to our hotel and have some free time to rest and relax. In the evening, we will meet for a farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of our amazing trek. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
