After checking in at your hotel, you will have some free time to rest and explore the city on your own. Kathmandu is a bustling metropolis filled with colorful markets, ancient temples, and vibrant street life. You can wander through the narrow alleys of the old city, sample delicious Nepalese cuisine, or shop for souvenirs and handicrafts. In the evening, you will meet with your trekking guide, who will brief you on the itinerary and answer any questions you may have about the trek. You will also have the opportunity to attend a welcome dinner, where you can get to know your fellow trekkers and enjoy some delicious local cuisine. After dinner, you can retire to your hotel room and get a good night's sleep in preparation for the journey ahead.
The flight itself is an exciting experience, as you will soar over the stunning Himalayan landscape and witness breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will meet the rest of your trekking team, including your porters and support staff. After a brief rest and some tea or coffee, you will set out on the trek to Phakding, a small village located at an altitude of 2,610 meters (8,563 feet).
