You can also visit some of the city's iconic landmarks, such as the Pashupatinath Temple or the Swayambhunath Stupa. In the evening, you will meet with your trekking guide and yoga instructor for a briefing about the trek and a yoga session to help you relax and unwind after your journey. After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal of the airport for your flight to Lukla. The flight is a breathtaking experience as you fly over the majestic Himalayas and get your first glimpse of the Everest region. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will meet with the rest of the trekking team and begin your trek to Phakding. The trail descends towards the Dudh Koshi River, passing through picturesque villages and forests of rhododendron and magnolia. You will cross several suspension bridges along the way, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, which offers stunning views of the river and the surrounding mountains. Today is one of the most challenging and rewarding days of the trek as you will be trekking to the famous Everest Base Camp. You will start early in the morning and follow a steep trail that takes you through the Khumbu Glacier and past several memorials to mountaineers who have lost their lives on Everest. After around 3-4 hours of trekking, you will reach Gorak Shep, which is the last settlement on the trail. After a short break, you will continue your trek to the Everest Base Camp. As you reach the base camp, you will be surrounded by stunning views of the Khumbu Icefall and other towering peaks of the Everest range. You can spend some time exploring the base camp, taking pictures and soaking in the atmosphere. After spending some time at the base camp, you will return to Gorak Shep for the night. Today you will start early in the morning to hike up to Kalapathar, which is the highest point of your trek at 5,555m. After spending some time taking in the views and capturing some photos, you will descend back to Gorak Shep and have breakfast. Then you will continue your trek towards Dzongla. After around 7-8 hours of trekking, you will reach Dzongla, which is a small village nestled in a valley surrounded by stunning mountain peaks. Today is another challenging day of the trek as you will be crossing the Cho La pass, which is at an altitude of 5,420m. You will start early in the morning and follow a steep trail that takes you through the pass. After spending some time taking in the views and capturing some photos, you will descend towards Thagnak. Today you will trek back to Namche Bazaar, which is a bustling Sherpa town situated at an altitude of 3,440m.
