The weekend market (Main market days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and Folk Heritage Museum. Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
This drive is truly awe-inspiring as it zigzags up to the 3,140m-high mountain pass of Dochu La with its forests of fluttering prayer flags, maze of memorial chortens, and, on a clear day, sweeping views of the main Himalayan range. Upriver, deep in the verdant terraced hills past Punakha Dzong is our home for the next two nights, Please note museum, monastery, temple, and dzong opening days and times can and do vary with national holidays and events such a visit by a member of the Royal Family or auspicious ceremonies. We have a half day for further exploration of the scenic Punakha Valley, which is low enough (1,200m) to allow bananas and oranges to grow. The destination for this morning’s walk up through whitewashed homesteads and farmland is Khamsum Yuley Namgay Chorten, a shrine recently built by the royal family. It is a startlingly ornate and elaborate structure with a rainbow of Guru Rinpoche images and superb views. Heading down along the riverside the massive architectural edifice of the 17th-century Punakha Dzong soon looms into view. The fortress-monastery was built in 1637 by Shabdung NawangNamgyal in a commanding position at the confluence of the Po Chhu and Mo Chhu (Father and Motherrivers). It once served as the seat of the Kingdom's government and is now the winter home of Je Khenpo, the head abbot of Bhutan, along with a retinue of 1,000 monks. In the afternoon a short walk across rice paddies takes us to Chimmi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to DrukpaKuenley, a Tibetan Buddhist saint known popularly as the Divine Madman. The temple sits atop a picturesque hill surrounded by rice fields. Drukpa Kuenley built a chorten on the site in the 14th century, and it has long been a pilgrimage site for couples hoping to start a family. After that we will be heading towards Paro via Dochula. One of the most amazing and important pieces of architecture in Bhutan, Taktsang Goemba defies logic, gravity, and reason. Legend has it that this Cliffside was where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) landed on the back of a flying tigress, bringing Buddhism to Bhutan from Tibet. To avoid the hot sun an early start is advisable for the two-hour climb to the Tiger’s Nest viewpoint. Descend steeply, then climb up to the monastery, passing a waterfall and entering through the main gates which are filled with murals. Retrace our steps or (if time and energy levels allow) head further up to several remote temples and monasteries. In the evening you are invited for a firelight farewell dinner. Duration: 7 - 8 hours Difficulty: Moderate to Hard Guided with picnic or Taktsang cafeteria Overnight: Dinner and Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast, We will leave for Punakha on our Nepal Bhutan tour. It lies at an altitude of 1,250 meters. The route to Punakha from Thimphu goes through the special Dochu La pass. There are almost 100 memorials chortens. You can explore the nearby Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, where you will study. Besides this, you can pay a short visit to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple). It takes about two to three hours of drive to reach Punakha. After having lunch at Punakha, your hike to Lungchutese monastery begins. This hiking trail goes through the beautiful forest. The forest consists of Hemlock, Fir, Rhododendrons, and junipers. This path is an uphill hike, so you can stop to enjoy the panoramic view. Once you reach the Lungchutese monastery, you will get an awe-inspiring view of the high mountains. You can see Umolhari (7314 m), Masang Gang (7158), Table Mountain (7060 m) and Gangkhar Puensum (7520 m). Mt. Gangkhar Puensum is the highest mountain in Bhutan
Bidding farewell to Bhutan, you will have a flight to Kathmandu on our Nepal Bhutan tour. Enjoying the aerial view of the high mountains, you will be returning to Kathmandu. You will stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

National Memorial Chortens

Public Remembrance Chorten, for the most part known as Thimphu Chorten or Harmony Commemoration Chorten is the most visited milestone in Bhutan. For some Bhutanese is a focal point of day to day love where they perform Kora (Circumambulation around the Stupa/clockwise). It is no common stupa except for is a Dedication to pay tribute to the third Mythical serpent Ruler HRM Jigme Dorji Wangchuk which is the most apparent sight in Thimphu. It is found near the focal piece of Thimphu city. Likewise, this building is committed to Tantric Buddhism.

Motithang Takin Preserve

Motithang Takin Protect initially was a small scale zoo and is currently a Takin jelly situated in the Motithang locale of Thimphu, Bhutan. The Takin (Budorcas Taxicolor) is the public creature of Bhutan because of its connections with its Bhutanese strict history and folklore. It is believed that Drukpa Kunley, a Tibetan saint who was also known as "Divide Madam," created the strange creature that is now known as Takin in the 15th century. This goat-impala like animal is found in steep timberlands reaching out to the tree line and mountain valley in the eastern Himalayan area.

Simtokha Dzong

Simtokha Dzong arranged on top of a little slope is a heavenly little Dzong which is also called Sangak Zabdrung Phodrang. As referenced it is situated in a little region meaning it gives a wonderful lavish valley view, alongside a nature view this dzong itself is a show-stopper. When you enter the premises you will see the most beautiful beautifications hanging outside the structure and strict paintings all around the wall. This building was worked in 1629 and it is one of a handful of the landmarks which is as yet unblemished to its unique structure. As the outside captivates you with its excellence, the inside additionally stuns guests with provincial paintings of Buddha's life process.

Zilukha Nunnery

Zilukha Cloister prominently known as Druthob Goemba or Zilukha Anim Dratshang is a Buddhist convent situated in Zilukha, Thimphu. This monastery is a short drive from Thimphu's main city area. Here nuns get familiar with the lessons and conventions of Tantric Buddhism and dedicate their lives to the local area after their graduation. The largest nunnery in Bhutan, it has between 60 and 70 nuns. This spot isn't just viewed as a fascination yet additionally addresses the converging of Bhutan's otherworldly past, the developing present and the challenger future.
